About Us
Veritas Family Healthcare has a smaller panel of patients than a traditional practice, so our Doctors are able to provide you the level of personal care you deserve.
ABOUT DR. DENHAM
“My name is Scott Denham. I was born into the family of a career US Navy officer, so I have lived in places such as Hawaii, California, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. I attended The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Following that I completed a residency in General Surgery at ETSU Quillen along with additional training in Emergency Medicine.
I have been working as an Emergency Medicine Doctor for almost six years. I want to transition to this unique model of practice where I have a chance to treat my patients without outside interferences, spending adequate time with each of them, and being able to treat the whole patient.
I am blessed to have a wonderful wife, Allyson and three incredible children. We love the East Tennessee area and all of its beauty. The seasons, changing leaves and mountains are all evidence of God’s handiwork. We enjoy getting outside in nature in our freetime. My family and I are also big sports fans (although we are a house divided – Roll Tide/Go Dawgs). I look forward to getting to know and serving the people in Greeneville and the surrounding areas.“

ABOUT The Clark Family
“As proponents of free market medicine and excellent individualized patient care, we set out to do medicine differently more than 7 years ago. We opened a DPC practice called Black Bag Family Healthcare in Johnson City. We have grown that practice to having 3 providers and we are passionate about continuing the same type of practice in Greeneville with our newest venture, Veritas Family Healthcare.
We are excited to carry on the work that Dr. Berry and DirectMD/PATMOS did. Although we won’t be at the Greeneville location daily, you will see us in the office on occasion. Dr. Clark will be covering patient care needs when Dr. Denham is not available or is on vacation. I will be assisting the office staff in managing and continuing the day to day business.
Thank you for trusting us with your healthcare needs! “

A NOTE TO MEMBERS
December 17, 2021
Dear Members,
Thank you for continuing to be a member at DirectMD Greeneville as we have journeyed through this season of transition. We have been working hard to meet your needs and look forward to continuing.
I am pleased to formally announce that Dr. Dustin Clark and his wife, Lauren, purchased the clinic in October and have hired their good friend, Dr. Scott Denham, to be our full-time doctor.
Dr. Denham finished his residency in general surgery at ETSU but has worked as an ER doctor for the past six years. The variety and scope of his experience will be such a blessing to the clinic. Dr. Bennie Smith will also continue to see patients two mornings a week.
Shelia Parker and I will carrying on serving up front with assistance from Brian Cable, LPN, who also works at the Clark’s clinic in Johnson City. Caitlyn Cobble will also continue to help where needed.
The new name of the clinic will be Veritas Family Healthcare and the cost of annual and monthly memberships will remain the same. Be sure to visit our new website to read more about Dr. Denham and his family and the Clarks.
I am so thankful for all the words of encouragement and love from many of you, especially stories of what Robert meant as a doctor and a friend. I know he would be pleased with this continuation of providing personal, quality, economical healthcare in a way that respects each patient’s needs and honors the Lord.
Please free to contact me with any questions, concerns or stories!
Gratefully,
Blair Berry
