Is there fee to sign up?
Yes, the enrollment fee is $50 per person, or $80 per household.

What if I am self-employed or an owner of a small business?
Veritas Family Healthcare is ideal for you folk. We will give you and your employees quick access to quality, affordable primary medical care while your business incurs a predictable, recurring cost that can be expensed pre-tax as you perhaps already do with health insurance, even though Veritas Family Healthcare is not insurance. It is actual medical care without all the middlemen to appease and pay. We are probably the most personal, simple, transparent, and cost-effective primary care medical practice in the area.
General Questions
What is Direct Primary Care?
Under the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, the patient (you) pays Veritas Family Healthcare directly monthly or yearly to receive comprehensive primary medial care. Because DPC practices do not participate in any insurance plans, we are able to avoid the ever-increasing and costly documentation demands and administrative intrusions that come with accepting insurance.
We don’t allow the insurance – hospital – government – large medical group cartel to enter our exam rooms, and they are not a part of our overhead.
To learn more about DPC, check out this video.

If a Doctor is allowed and desired, and you are admitted to the local hospital, we will visit you in the hospital.
What if I need medical attention while I’m away from home?
In the age of telemedicine, many conditions can be diagnosed and treated via a simple conversation by phone, text, or webcam. If appropriate, we will locate the nearest pharmacy and order medication most suited for your circumstance. If you need to go to the hospital or seek other medical attention while away from home, we can advise you on that as well.
May I contact Veritas Family Healthcare after hours? How?
Absolutely, yes! It’s how we do custom healthcare. After normal office hours our members can text or call their Doctor’s cell phone number for any urgent needs.
When and how do I pay my fees for non-covered labs and procedures?
At the time of service with a card you have on file, check, or cash.
Medical & Insurance Questions
Do I still need insurance?
We recommend that you have insurance for large medical bills. Veritas Family Healthcare does not replace insurance, and ideally we encourage our patients to carry major medical insurance with a high deductible or, when appropriate, a Christian medical cost sharing plan. You should consult with your insurance provider to help you find a plan that works best with our medical model and that will meet your specific needs.
What if I want to continue my current insurance? Can I use it?
Not for our services, but Veritas Family Healthcare will be able to order your labs, x-rays and medications at the facilities preferred by your insurance if you would like.
If I have Medicare, can I join as a patient?
Sure! Medicare beneficiaries are already signing up. However, your monthly membership fee cannot be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement. If you have not done so already, you will need to sign a Medicare opt out at your next visit declaring that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for your membership fee.
How can I save on insurance costs by being a patient of Veritas Family Healthcare?
Many times patients purchase expensive “Cadillac” plans that require little or no co-pay and that cover all lab costs and prescription costs. However, with Veritas Family Healthcare your monthly fee covers all office visits, basic labs and there are no copays. Our patients may find it worthwhile to change from a “Cadillac” health insurance plan to a basic health insurance plan to save money.
